Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Waste Processing Supervisor in Indianapolis to oversee the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with all procedures. The role includes staffing, training, and coordinating with customers and vendors to meet operational goals.

You will lead a team, manage projects, and promote safety initiatives while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and B.S. in an environmental-related field preferred.
• HAZWOPER training: 40-hour and current or ability to obtain.
• 5+ years in environmental/hazardous waste operations.
• Knowledge of RCRA and DoT regs related to waste handling and shipping.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation and operation of all wastes received (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal).
• Ensure customer orders are processed safely, on time, and compliant with procedures.
• Hire, train, and manage staff to build a cohesive team.
• Enforce health, safety, and regulatory compliance across the facility.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams, customers, and vendors to reach goals.
