Job summary

GFL Industries seeks a safety‑mocused equipment operator in the United States to bale and load waste materials, inspect and maintain machinery, and perform daily fluid checks. You will operate forklifts, bobcats, backhoes, and related gear at active sites with outdoor work conditions.

The role requires forklift certification and the ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Certification. Strong adherence to safety procedures and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired, but not required.
• Completion of forklift certification.
• Ability to obtain Transfer Station / Landfill Operations Certification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to bale and load waste material into trailers.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks of equipment.
• Grease/lubricate equipment and check/add fluids daily.
• Steer, guide and drive listed equipment at the assigned site.
• Substitute for another operator as needed.
