Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a landfill equipment operator to safely operate excavators, bulldozers, and related heavy equipment at assigned sites in Needville, TX. You will bale, load, and move waste materials while following safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities include daily equipment checks, lubrication, and communication with field teams. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; forklift certification is required, with potential to obtain additional certifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Forklift certification required.
• Ability to obtain Transfer Station/Landfill Operations Certification if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to bale and load waste or materials.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Grease and check fluids daily; monitor gauges.
• Steer and operate listed equipment at assigned site.
• Substitute for other operators as needed.
• Maintain site grounds and attend safety meetings.
