Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator in Kentucky to monitor waste volumes as loads enter our post-collection site and to ensure accurate billing for customers.

You will collect payments, issue receipts, balance daily totals, document entries with truck scales and computer systems, notify operations of special loads, answer calls, keep the work area clean, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience handling cash and balancing receipts.
• Experience using computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine content of material entering facility to properly bill the customer.
• Accept or reject waste loads based on content and local market training.
• Receive payments and provide receipts.
• Balance daily receipts and deposit cash.
• Document waste entries using truck scales and computer systems.
• Notify operations of special loads and process required paperwork.
• Answer telephone and provide information to callers.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
