Job summary

Athens Services is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Paramount to manage waste collection routes and driver performance. You will ride along, coach for safety and productivity, and coordinate with maintenance and sales to meet daily demands.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in management, with DOT and OSHA knowledge. Bilingual English/Spanish and AS-400 familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of management experience required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledgeable in Federal DOT regulations.
• Knowledgeable in OSHA standard regulations.
• Excellent leadership abilities.
• Ability to perform physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans, distributes, monitors, and follows up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per Company standards.
• Ensures drivers are available and assigned daily, covering call-ins with spare drivers.
• Monitors daily operations and communicates changes to routes and procedures to drivers.
• Coordinates daily needs with Maintenance team and Operations Manager.
• Monitors time and attendance to minimize overtime and regulatory limits.
• Assists in maintaining budget performance.
• Monitors over weight loads and guides reduction efforts.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Conducts weekly safety meetings.
