Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Gate Attendant/Scale Operator at our Brook, Indiana facility. You will monitor waste loads entering the site, bill customers accurately, collect payments, and balance daily receipts. The role requires using truck scales and computer systems to document waste and volumes.

The position is 25 hours per week with a 10am-3pm shift and an hourly rate of $20. Previous cash handling and basic software experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in a position requiring cash handling and balancing receipts.
• Experience with computers and various software programs.

Responsibilities

• Determine content of material to properly bill customers.
• Accept or reject waste loads and suggest alternatives.
• Receive payments and issue receipts.
• Balance daily receipts and deposit payments.
• Document waste using scales and software; track volumes.
• Notify operations of special waste and process related paperwork.
• Answer calls and provide information to customers.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
