Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Facility Manager for our Smithfield, NC site to oversee non-hazardous solid waste and the hazardous waste 10-day operation. The role requires experience in both hazardous and non-hazardous waste industries and reports to the Vice President of Disposal.

You will supervise facility operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage waste consolidation and transport coordination while collaborating with teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in the hazardous waste industry.
• BS in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or other related majors, or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of lab packs.
• Prior knowledge, experience, and compliance with DOT, RCRA, and other applicable regulations.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship.
• Must be willing to consent to background checks and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Develop the knowledge to manage a Part B permitted TSDF.
• Understand the governing TSDF permit.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly compliance inspections and SOP reviews.
• Supervise facility operations in absence of the manager.
• Consolidate waste according to permit and customer requirements.
• Choose appropriate disposal facilities based on acceptability and cost.
• Coordinate outbound loads and scheduling transporters.
• Understand OSHA and EPA regulations relevant to the role.
• Demonstrate supervisory leadership with coworkers.
• Work with waste tracking systems and ER team post-training.
