Job summary
Triumvirate Environmental seeks a Facility Manager to oversee non-hazardous waste and hazardous waste operations at the Smithfield, NC site. Candidates should have experience in both hazardous and non-hazardous waste industries and will report to the Vice President of Disposal.
The role involves supervising facility operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing waste profiling and transport coordination, and participating in emergency response teams.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in the hazardous waste industry.
- BS in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related majors, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of lab packs.
- Regulatory compliance with DOT, RCRA, and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop the knowledge to manage a Part B permitted TSDF.
- Understand the governing TSDF permit.
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly compliance inspections and training.
- Supervise facility operations when the manager is unavailable.
- Consolidate waste per TSDF permit and customer requirements.
- Coordinate outbound loads and scheduling of transporters.
- Learn OSHA regulations and EPA regulations.
- Participate in emergency response training and be part of ER team.
