Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking a Facility Operations Manager I to oversee daily plant operations, ensuring safe, compliant processing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. The role leads supervisors and staff, driving performance and continuous improvement across multiple areas, and serves as deputy to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• 5-7 years of plant operations or industrial facility management experience.
• DOT training required.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous waste operations, wastewater treatment, tank farm operations, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations across drum processing, tank farm operations, truck loading/unloading, wastewater treatment, inventory management, and waste tracking.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance with applicable regulations.
• Lead and develop Operations Supervisors, Plant Foremen, and other plant personnel across multiple areas and shifts.
• Monitor productivity and establish daily production goals to ensure efficiency and throughput.
• Ensure proper waste identification, routing, storage, segregation, and disposal per regulatory and facility requirements.
