Job summary

Triumvirate Environmental is seeking a Facility Manager in Smithfield, NC to oversee non-hazardous solid waste and the hazardous waste 10-day operation. Experience in both hazardous and non-hazardous waste industries is preferred.

The role reports to the Vice President of Disposal and supports safety, compliance, and operational excellence across our facilities serving higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in the hazardous waste industry.
• Knowledge of DOT, RCRA and related regulations.
• Basic knowledge of lab packs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge to manage a Part B permitted TSDF.
• Understand the governing TSDF permit and ensure compliance.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly compliance inspections, training, SOP implementation and process review.
• Supervise facility operations and cover for the facility manager when needed.
• Coordinate waste consolidation, disposal facility selection, and cost considerations.
• Manage outbound loads including deliveries and transporters scheduling.
• Familiarize with OSHA regulations, EPA regulations and Triumvirate Health & Safety practices.
• Work with waste tracking systems and participate in ER training as part of in-house team.
