Job summary

HDR is seeking an Assistant Design Manager to join our Resources Business Group within the Waste Sector in Denver, Colorado. This role supports the planning, permitting, design, procurement, and construction of solid waste and resource recovery facilities across North America.

The successful candidate will assist with facility planning, site master planning, workflow analysis, and conceptual layouts, coordinating among civil, structural, architectural, environmental, mechanical, and electrical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Strong coordination across multi-disciplinary teams
Familiarity with planning, permitting, and construction phases of projects
Experience with technical reporting and design documentation
Ability to travel for project and client needs

Responsibilities

Support multidisciplinary teams through project planning, feasibility studies, and design development.
Assist with site master planning, operational assessments, and facility layouts.
Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, environmental, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
Support preparation of technical reports, permit applications, and construction documents.
Assist with environmental permitting efforts and regulatory coordination.
Participate in proposal development, scope preparation, and cost estimates.
