Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Regional Solid Waste Facilities Practice Leader in California to shape the strategy and growth of HDR’s Waste Facilities Practice.

You will align with HDR leadership, manage technical direction, and oversee key waste facility design projects across the region. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, PE license, 7+ years in project management, MS Office/MS Project proficiency, and a track record in leadership and business development within the waste sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of related experience, including at least 2 years in project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
• MS Office and MS Project experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Practice business strategies in collaboration with Practice leadership and other Directors.
• Coordinate with Area Sector Lead and Regional Waste Leaders to advance the waste facilities practice.
• Lead and participate in project pursuits including client relationship development and premarketing.
• Direct billable work on waste facility projects.
• Participate in recruitment and talent retention efforts.
