Job summary

SET Environmental Inc in Texas is seeking a Waste Coordinator to serve as the liaison between the Cheniere Facility and SET operations, managing onsite waste programs.

You will maintain daily waste tracking, prepare shipments, and ensure DOT/RCRA compliance while coordinating with labs and vendors. This role requires a BS in Environmental Studies, 2+ years of field experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs; strong communication and self-motivation are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Environmental Studies or related field.
• 2+ years of practical field experience including hazardous waste handling, lab packing, chemical consolidation, manifesting, and scheduling rental containers.
• Competent Computer Skills, including MS Office.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (i.e., 40 Hour HAZWOPER Training, forklift certification, medical certification including respirator use).
• Must have knowledge of all RCRA and DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the site waste tracking spreadsheet daily
• Preparing shipments to SET and other established waste vendors
• Being the point of contact person if there are compliance related issues regarding waste
• Housekeeping in 90 Day Waste Storage Area, including required inspections, and quality control of outgoing loads prior to leaving the site to ensure load is acceptable per DOT regulations as well as the tracking of the material once it leaves the site up until the return manifest copy is received
• Perform weekly visual inspections of items such as but not limited to Satellite Accumulation Areas, perform sampling, and maintaining waste management supplies such as drums and spill response materials
• Be a subject matter expert in areas concerning waste management and interact with different labs on a daily basis via phone, email, and/or in meetings
• Other duties assigned as needed
