Job summary

Responsibilities

• Retrieves garbage and yard trash bags from residential homes or businesses and empties them into the sanitation truck's compactor.
• Follows safety procedures and uses safety equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
• Operates packer or lift mechanisms on the garbage truck and uses tools such as shovels, pitchforks, yard rakes, and brooms to complete essential duties.
