Job summary

The City of Fredericksburg, Virginia is seeking Crew Members I and II to support refuse collection and related public works tasks. The roles involve loading, distributing containers, operating sanitation vehicles, and ensuring safe, efficient pickups on assigned routes.

Qualifications

Crew Member I: High school diploma or equivalent; VA driver's license; ability to obtain Basic Work Zone TC cert.
Crew Member II: HS diploma; 1 year manual labor or progression; VA license; CDL Class B; OSHA training.

Responsibilities

Waste Collection and Management – Assist in collecting refuse, recycling, and debris and load onto collection trucks.
Container Distribution – Support distribution of refuse and recycling containers.
Refuse Collection – Collect residential and commercial refuse and recycling on designated routes.
Equipment Operation – Operate sanitation vehicles and equipment as assigned.
