GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Helper in Phenix City, Alabama to assist drivers in the collection of residential waste and recyclables. You will load materials, sort recyclables, and help guide the vehicle during backing and maneuvering while following all safety protocols.

The role requires ability to lift, stand, bend, and operate basic truck equipment, with training provided as needed. Prior experience is not required, and a valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is desired but not required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training is desired but not required.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Collect solid waste/recyclables from customer premises or curbside.
• Load waste into the rear or side of the collection vehicle.
• Sort recyclables and place materials into appropriate compartments.
• Assist driver and guide backing up and tight-space maneuvering.
• Operate equipment on truck to compact waste.
• Audit vehicle for proper equipment before leaving branch.
• Follow safety checks and company rules on vehicle operation.
• Maintain route quality and assist in keeping cab and exterior clean.
