City of Oakland Park is seeking a skilled Solid Waste Operator to safely and efficiently operate refuse and recycling collection equipment. You will serve commercial and residential customers along assigned routes and perform routine equipment adjustments as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and a Florida Class B Driver’s License with an Air Brake Endorsement, with preference for six months’ experience in waste collection equipment operation.

Formación

• Highschooldiploma or GED equivalent.
• Must hold a State of Florida Class B Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement.

Responsabilidades

• Operates refuse and recycling collection equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provides service to commercial and residential customers per route.
• Lifts and loads refuse, trash, discarded equipment, and household items.
• Performs minor adjustments to equipment.
• Maintains regular attendance on scheduled shifts.
