Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a Residential Helper to assist refuse truck drivers on pre-assigned routes, handling garbage, yard waste, or recycling. Duties include loading, operating packing mechanisms, and ensuring safety and customer service alongside the driver.

The role requires physical work, ability to follow safety procedures, and customer-focused service. No CDL is required, and work is performed on various residential routes with potential emergency schedule duties.

Responsibilities

• Picks up solid waste and places it in the back of a rear load garbage truck on specified routes.
• Provide courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation.
• Ensure garbage and recyclables at residences are picked up and transferred properly.
• Answer questions for residents and direct them to Customer Service or government offices for information.
• Comply with ANSI, OSHA and company safety policies including Waste Pro Absolute Guidelines.
• Assist Driver by directing the Driver from the ground during backing up.
• Clean behind the compactor blade and spray/clean hopper and truck after shifts.
• Report safety or customer service issues to driver and supervisor promptly.
• Perform a variety of manual duties in cleanup of scattered refuse and ensure containers replaced.
• May work during emergency situations.
• Assist other routes as needed to complete daily work.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
