Job summary

Fuse is seeking a senior Government Affairs leader in Washington to translate policy priorities into enacted language and funded programs. You will manage relationships with Congress, the Pentagon, and federal agencies to advance the company’s fusion energy mission.

You will design and drive Fuse's government affairs strategy, oversee a team, and coordinate with communications, legal, and business development to align policy with our growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• You have served as a congressional staffer on defense appropriations, armed services, or energy & water.
• You understand how to move language into the NDAA or secure appropriations.
• You can translate between government processes and company strategy.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute Fuse's government affairs strategy across business lines and fiscal years.
• Plan and run campaigns across defense and energy & water appropriations.
• Represent Fuse before Members of Congress and senior government officials.
• Develop relationships inside the Pentagon and other agencies to shape programs and budgets.
• Lead outside lobbyists and measure outcomes over activity.
• Collaborate with founders and leadership on legislative strategy and execution.
