Job summary

The Mortgage Law Firm seeks an Associate Attorney to support its Washington practice in Vancouver, WA. The role may be in office or remote, handling foreclosure, litigation, bankruptcy, title, and related creditor-rights matters for clients.

You will manage cases through all stages, draft pleadings, and appear in court while advising internal teams on Washington law and procedure. This position requires JD, WA bar, 8+ years experience, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Washington State Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum of eight years licensed to practice law in Washington State.
• Ability to practice from the firm’s Vancouver, Washington office (in-office or remote).
• Experience managing legal matters, deadlines, and client communications with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Washington matters through all assigned stages with clear ownership of deadlines and strategy.
• Prepare timely pleadings, motions, briefs, declarations, and other legal work product.
• Appear in court hearings, mediations, and related proceedings for clients.
• Coordinate with local counsel, courts, title companies, and other third parties as required.
• Ensure filings and client reporting are completed within deadlines.
• Record billable time accurately and contemporaneously.
