Job summary

Fresenius Kabi is hiring a Vial Washer and Sterilizer Operator in Grand Island, NE. The role covers setup, operation, and performance of vial washers and sterilizers, ensuring safe, efficient processing according to SOPs and GMPs.

You will monitor washing progress, perform changeovers, document activities, restock supplies, and verify cycle results. Requires good communication and ability to lift 20 lbs, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Good communication and documentation skills required.
• Comprehends basic math, reading and basic mechanical adjustments.
• Must be able to lift successive vial pans weighing approximately 20 lbs.
• Must be able to lift, bend, and reach while palletizing vial pans weighing approximately 20lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set‑up, operation and performance of all vial washers and component sterilizers.
• Loads vials onto washer infeed and monitors washing progress.
• Performs changeover of vial washer as required by production schedule.
• Follows SOPs/GMPs/safety requirements and documents activities.
• Restocks production supplies and maintains accurate batch records.
• Verifies sterilizer cycles and loads applicable sterilizers as necessary.
• Performs daily/weekly cleaning and waste labeling.
• Adheres to safety equipment usage and mid-level gowning.

Responsibilities

• 4th Shift is 6 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturday/Sunday + 1 Weekday assigned by supervisor
• Hourly Range: $16.85 – 18.72/hour
• Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsible for the set-up, operation and performance of all vial washers and component sterilizers. Operates all equipment used in these areas efficiently, safely, and consistently.

• Loads glass and plastic vials onto vial washer infeed and monitors performance of washing progress.
• Performs changeover of vial washer as required per production schedule.
• Performs tasks requested by supervision.
• Wears appropriate safety equipment (i.e., safety glasses/shoes).
• Adheres to mid-level gowning requirements.
• Follows all required SOPs/GMPs/safety requirements during execution of daily duties.
• Responsible for good documentation practices.
• Responsible for restocking production supplies.
• Assures that the batch record folder is correctly documented, and that all checks are performed per SOP
• Verify and check the sterilizer cycle according to the SOP Standards.
• Load applicable sterilizers as necessary.
• Responsible for support equipment after the completion of the production run.
• Performs the daily and weekly cleaning of the area as specified in the SOP.
• Accurately separates and labels any waste.
• Overtime as needed.
