Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Grand Island, NE is seeking a production operator for vial washers and sterilizers. The role entails setting up and operating equipment, monitoring wash cycles, and adhering to SOPs, GMPs and safety rules.

Expect documentation duties and on-site responsibilities with potential overtime as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to lift 20 lb vial pans and perform basic mechanical actions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift vial pans up to 20 lbs and palletize.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operation and performance of all vial washers and component sterilizers.
• Load glass and plastic vials onto vial washer infeed and monitor washing progress.
• Perform changeover of vial washer per production schedule.
• Follow SOPs/GMPs/safety requirements and maintain good documentation practices.
• Restock production supplies and ensure batch records are correctly documented.
• Verify sterilizer cycles and load sterilizers as necessary.
• Conduct daily and weekly area cleaning and handle waste labeling.

Job description

Responsibilities

• 4th Shift is 6 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturday/Sunday + 1 Weekday assigned by supervisor
• Hourly Range: $16.85 – 18.72/hour
• Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsible for the set-up, operation and performance of all vial washers and component sterilizers. Operates all equipment used in these areas efficiently, safely, and consistently.

• Loads glass and plastic vials onto vial washer infeed and monitors performance of washing progress.
• Performs changeover of vial washer as required per production schedule.
• Performs tasks requested by supervision.
• Wears appropriate safety equipment (i.e., safety glasses/shoes).
• Adheres to mid-level gowning requirements.
• Follows all required SOPs/GMPs/safety requirements during execution of daily duties.
• Responsible for good documentation practices.
• Responsible for restocking production supplies.
• Assures that the batch record folder is correctly documented, and that all checks are performed per SOP
• Verify and check the sterilizer cycle according to the SOP Standards.
• Load applicable sterilizers as necessary.
• Responsible for support equipment after the completion of the production run.
• Performs the daily and weekly cleaning of the area as specified in the SOP.
• Accurately separates and labels any waste.
• Overtime as needed.

• Must be able to lift successive vial pans weighing approximately 20 lbs.
• Must be able to lift, bend, and reach while palletizing vial pans weighing approximately 20lbs.
