Carlile in Juneau, AK is seeking a Wash Bay Technician to support a team of mechanics by steam cleaning vehicles and equipment passing through the wash bay, and to perform basic maintenance on support equipment and light duty vehicles.
This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid Alaska driver’s license, and ideally one year of repair experience; strong communication, organization, and customer service skills are essential.
The Wash Bay Technician is primarily responsible for providing support to a team of mechanics, giving priority to steam cleaning all vehicles and equipment that pass through the wash bay. The incumbent will also perform some basic maintenance and repairs on support equipment and light duty vehicles.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. In addition to using computerized diagnostic equipment, mechanics use a variety of power and machine tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, grinding machines, and welding equipment. Hand tools, including pliers, socket and ratchets, and screwdrivers, are also commonly used. The employee is often exposed to a variety of extreme weather and temperature conditions and fluctuations, such as cold, heat, snow, wind, rain, etc.
