Job summary

KIA GEORGIA is seeking a QA-focused professional to develop and maintain warranty processes in a manufacturing setting. You will edit claim criteria, review distributor submissions, and support cost reduction initiatives while aligning with company goals.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, have 2–5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing (automotive preferred), and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or related field with 2–5 years in engineering in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain claim system editing criteria, warranty policies, procedure manuals, and warranty and service agreements.
  • Review submitted claims from distributors; resolve claim issues between KIA GEORGIA and distributors.
  • Develop and maintain various programs (warranty compensation, warranty claim cost reduction, etc.).
  • Execute and implement quality activities in compliance with company goals.
  • Execute special projects for production support activities.
  • Prepare detailed plans, reports (i.e., effectiveness of countermeasures), and schedules for the Quality Assurance team.
  • Ensure compliance of regulations, policies, and procedures.

Job description

Develop broad understanding and application of the automotive industry standards and continually strive for improvements and excellence in all facets of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain claim system editing criteria, warranty policies, procedure manuals, and warranty and service agreements.
  • Review submitted claims from distributors; resolve claim issues between KIA GEORGIA and distributors.
  • Develop and maintain various programs (warranty compensation, warranty claim cost reduction, etc.).
  • Execute and implement quality activities in compliance with company goals.
  • Execute special projects for production support activities.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the engineering field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Experience in Power BI, Power Automation systems
  • Experience with SAP system preferred.
  • Possess a broad understanding and application of the automotive standards.
  • Experience with warranty management systems.
