Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Project Management - Warranty Intern to address warranty issues through structured problem-solving, improving safety, quality, and manufacturing processes while reducing warranty costs.

The intern will design and re-engineer processes, analyze warranty data, and collaborate with multiple teams, suppliers, and customers to implement durable solutions on the assembly floor.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field throughout the entire duration of the internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to collaborate with others on projects.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous internship experience or work-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design new processes and re-engineer existing processes to produce outcomes that meet safety, quality, and business expectations.
• Evaluate warranty data to identify issues, understand trends, and determine root cause.
• Work with employee teams, platform teams, suppliers, dealer teams, and managers while exhibiting a professional and cooperative attitude.
• Follow structured problem-solving process to implement solutions to warranty related issues.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Assist in coordinating and evaluating the testing of vehicle components.
• Follow roll out of solutions on the assembly floor and provide technical assistance.
• Prepare information for product support bulletins that document solutions.
