Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Project Management – Warranty Intern to address systemic warranty issues using structured problem-solving, manufacturing or supplier-driven changes, and to improve safety, quality and processes.

The role involves designing new processes, evaluating warranty data for root causes, collaborating with teams and suppliers, and assisting with testing and documenting solutions for product support bulletins.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field throughout the entire duration of the internship
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to collaborate with others on projects.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous internship experience or work-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and re-engineer processes to meet safety, quality, and business goals.
• Evaluate warranty data to identify issues, understand trends, and determine root cause.
• Work with employee teams, platform teams, suppliers, dealer teams, and managers with a professional attitude.
• Follow structured problem-solving process to implement solutions to warranty related issues.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
• Assist in coordinating and evaluating the testing of vehicle components.
• Follow roll out of solutions on the assembly floor and provide technical assistance.
• Prepare information for product support bulletins documenting solutions.
