Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company in Milwaukee, invites you to join the Project Management – Warranty Intern program. SUMMARY

The primary mission of the Project Management – Warranty Intern is to address systemic warranty related issues through a structured problem-solving method, manufacturing, or supplier related changes that continually improve customer satisfaction. The intern will practice and develop disciplined problem-solving tools and skills to continuously improve safety, quality, business, and manufacturing processes with an emphasis on reducing warranty cost and defect occurrence through quality improvement.

YOUR IMPACT

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned: Design new processes and re-engineer existing processes to produce outcomes that meet safety, quality, and business expectations. Evaluate warranty data to identify issues, understand trends, and determine root cause. Work with employee teams, platform teams, suppliers, dealer teams, and managers while exhibiting a professional and cooperative attitude. Follow structured problem-solving process to implement solutions to warranty related issues. Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments. Assist in coordinating and evaluating the testing of vehicle components. Follow roll out of solutions on the assembly floor and provide technical assistance. Prepare information for product support bulletins that document solutions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field throughout the entire duration of the internship
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Ability to collaborate with others on projects.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous internship experience or work-related experience.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
