VBC Homes in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Project Manager to lead warranty and service operations while supporting residential construction projects. You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and protect homeowner experience throughout the build and post-construction phases.

You’ll engage homeowners with clear communication, diagnose issues, and ensure quality outcomes. This role blends operations with client service, requiring travel to sites and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in residential construction or project management.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and methods.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and schedules.
• Ability to diagnose construction issues and apply practical judgment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Experience working with homeowners or customers.
• Excellent communication and professional conversation skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Buildertrend experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead Warranty & Service Operations: primary homeowner contact during warranty.
• Evaluate warranty claims and determine responsibility; oversee repairs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal labor for service work.
• Track service requests and document subcontractor performance.
• Support Construction Projects: provide PM support during peak periods.
• Ensure alignment with schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate subcontractor scheduling, inspections, milestones; perform site inspections.
• Assist with punch lists and closeout activities.
• Drive Quality Control & Closeout: pre-close inspections and turnover prep.
• Prepare warranty documentation and organize closeout materials.
• Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience: clear timelines and proactive communication.
