Job summary

VBC Homes in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Project Manager to lead warranty and service operations while supporting residential construction projects. You will evaluate issues, coordinate solutions, and communicate clearly with homeowners and trade partners, ensuring quality and timely completions.

You will manage subcontractors, inspect sites, and assist with jobsite quality inspections, punch lists, and turnover readiness, all while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in residential construction, warranty/service management, or project management.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and building systems.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing construction schedules.
• Ability to diagnose issues and apply practical judgment.
• Experience reading construction plans, specs and scopes of work.
• Experience working with homeowners or customers in a service-focused role.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Warranty & Service Operations: primary contact for homeowners during warranty.
• Evaluate warranty claims and determine responsibility; oversee repairs.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal labor.
• Track service requests and monitor subcontractor performance.
• Provide project management support during peak construction periods.
• Ensure schedule, budget, and quality alignment; assist with closeout.
