Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Warranty Business Analyst to serve as subject matter expert in warranty requirements for new and existing products. You will collaborate with Engineering, Aftersales, Purchasing, and Legal to define coverage, inclusions, exclusions, terms, and system needs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of experience, and strong data analytics skills with Python, SQL, Tableau, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree a plus. 5+ years’ industry or related experience required.
• Data analytics experience (specifically with Python, SQL, Tableau, and Excel) is required.
• Self-directed team player with the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and deliver high-quality results.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent critical thinking & analytical skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Demonstrated ability to recommend technical solutions based on business and system needs.
• Good recall of detail and a mechanical aptitude.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced just-in-time environment with rapidly changing objectives.
• Must be able to accept responsibility for assigned projects and work effectively under general or minimal supervision.
• Must be comfortable communicating at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the warranty SME in Engineering Design Reviews and Program Tollgate meetings.
• Partner with Engineering, Aftersales, Purchasing, and Legal to establish component warranty coverage, including inclusions, exclusions, terms, and system requirements.
• Develop and automate standard warranty reports, dashboards, and recurring performance metrics.
• Create and maintain standardized claim file templates to improve data consistency, reporting accuracy, and claims processing efficiency.
• Produce ad hoc analyses and reporting using Tableau and SQL to support warranty, product, and business decisions.
• Conduct auto-approval audits to ensure claims are processed accurately and in accordance with established warranty policies and controls.
• Track, manage, and report on franchise state law requests and related compliance requirements.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
