Job summary

PACCAR, a global leader in commercial vehicles, is seeking a Warranty Business Analyst in Renton, WA. The role focuses on defining warranty requirements, monitoring compliance, and delivering data-driven insights to improve aftersales performance.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Aftersales, Purchasing, and Legal to shape warranty coverage and develop automated reports using Tableau, SQL, and Excel. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ industry or related experience required.
• Data analytics experience (specifically with Python, SQL, Tableau, and Excel) is required.
• Self-directed team player with the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and deliver high-quality results.
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Excellent critical thinking & analytical skills
• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Demonstrated ability to recommend technical solutions based on business and system needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the warranty subject matter expert (SME) in Engineering Design Reviews and Program Tollgate meetings, identifying and defining warranty and aftersales system requirements for new and existing products.
• Partner with Engineering, Aftersales, Purchasing, and Legal to establish component warranty coverage, including inclusions, exclusions, terms, and system requirements.
• Support the development, review, and maintenance of warranty bulletins, policy definitions, procedures, and program documentation.
• Develop and automate standard warranty reports, dashboards, and recurring performance metrics.
• Create and maintain standardized claim file templates to improve data consistency, reporting accuracy, and claims processing efficiency.
• Produce ad hoc analyses and reporting using Tableau and SQL to support warranty, product, and business decisions.
• Conduct auto-approval audits to ensure claims are processed accurately and in accordance with established warranty policies and controls.
• Track, manage, and report on franchise state law requests and related compliance requirements.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
