Job summary

Quirk Auto Dealerships is seeking a detail oriented Warranty Administrator to join our busy service department. This full-time, in-person role emphasizes accurate warranty processing and timely communication with manufacturers.

You will prepare and submit warranty claims, track parts and recalls, and work with accounting to obtain payments. Prior experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, submits and follows up on warranty claims.
• Processes all warranty paperwork with proper documentation.
• Keeps current with factory recalls and announcements.
• Arranges parts shipment to factory/distributor and resubmits rejected claims.
• Reconciles warranty receivables and coordinates with accounting for payments.
• Tracks warranty parts with RO numbers, replacement dates and disposal dates.
• Maintains service and customer records required by the warrantor.

Position Overview

Quirk Automotive is looking for a detail oriented and organized Warranty Administrator to join our busy service department. We are searching for motivated individuals who are engaged and are excited about a career in the automotive industry. Experience preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Required Proficiencies

• Prepares, submits and follows up on warranty claims
• Processes all warranty paperwork, ensuring proper documentation and verifies criteria required by factory or distributor
• Keeps current with all factory recalls and announcements
• Arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor and resubmits all rejected claims promptly
• Reconciles all warranty receivables and works with the accounting department to obtain payments
• Keeps track of all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed
• Maintains all service and customer records as required by the warrantor

Preferred Skills

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn dealership software and manufacturer warranty systems
• Able to work independently while also functioning as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
