Job summary

Kootenai County is seeking a detail‑oriented records technician to receive, maintain, and update warrants, and coordinate cooperative transports and extraditions of inmates.

The role requires strong computer skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and the willingness to obtain NCIC certification and pepper spray authorization within six months.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma with at least 6 months of experience.
• Ability to obtain NCIC certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain authorization to carry and use pepper spray.

THE POSITION

This position receives, maintains, and updates records of outstanding warrants and coordinates cooperative transports and extraditions of inmates to and from Kootenai County.
