Job summary

The Galveston County Sheriff's Office is seeking a professional Warrants Clerk to accurately enter, access, and safeguard confidential law enforcement information. Key duties include answering calls, processing and distributing warrants, updating data, coordinating extradition trips, and maintaining organized files.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry with accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and direct or take messages.
• Receive, process, and distribute warrants; enter data into databases.
• Process returns of warrants and update person/warrant records.
• Coordinate and schedule extradition trips for deputies.
• Dispatch deputies for calls as needed.
• Organize and maintain operation files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
