Job summary

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office seeks a Warrants Specialist to process and manage warrants and capias, ensuring FCIC/NCIC transactions are accurate and compliant. This role supports warrants validation, court coordination, and documentation control.

You will monitor extradition-related files, bonds, and related records while maintaining strict retention practices and providing public assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Florid a driver’s license.
• Must be NCIC/FCIC certified or obtain certification within six months.
• Must be DAVID certified or obtain certification within six months.
• Basic knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Operate FCIC/NCIC systems per CJIS and agency policy.
• Prepare and validate FCIC/NCIC reports and documentation.
• Process warrants and capias entries with accuracy.
• Maintain records and coordinate with courts and agencies.
• Assist audits and attend meetings as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Valid Florida Driver’s License

NCIC/FCIC certification or obtain within 6 months

DAVID certification or obtain within 6 months
