Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in human services with homelessness.
• Experience with individuals with mental or behavioral health conditions.
• Knowledge of substance misuse, treatment and recovery services.
• Trained in CPR and Narcan Use.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the check-in process for guests at the Overnight Warming Station.
• Record daily visitor logs and maintain site safety checks.
• Secure areas and ensure visitors follow safety policies.
• Work per diem with varying hours; hourly rate is $25.00.

The City of Nashua is looking for a compassionate individual who enjoys supporting the community to work per diem as Support Staff at the City of Nashua's Overnight Warming Station.

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will support the operation of the City of Nashua's Overnight Warming Station. The staff will provide oversight of check-in process, daily recording of those accessing the site through log keeping, maintaining safety of those on site with regular checks to prevent substance use and overdose. This position will secure areas of use by performing walk-throughs and ensuring visitors are following policies recommended for the safety of all. This is a per diem position, with varying hours. The hourly rate is $25.00.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in human services working with people experiencing homelessness
• Previous experience working with individuals that have mental or behavioral health conditions
• Knowledge of substance misuse, treatment and recovery services
• Bi-lingual skills a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Solid writing and verbal communication skills
• Trained in CPR and Narcan Use
