Birmingham OB/Gyn is seeking a friendly Front Desk / Patient Check-In Representative to join our team in the Birmingham office. You will be the first contact for patients, ensuring a warm, accurate, and efficient check-in experience in a busy medical practice.

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service, reliability, and professionalism while handling registrations, insurance verification, copay collections, and HIPAA compliance throughout the day.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using computers and EHR systems.
• Able to multitask in a busy environment.
• Professional appearance and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
• Check patients in and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Update patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments as appropriate.
• Complete necessary registration and consent documentation.
• Assist patients with questions and direct them appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient arrivals and scheduling concerns.
• Answer and route telephone calls as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Help maintain an organized, efficient front-office environment.
• Work in Phreesia to verify patient information is up-to-date and accurate.
