Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Wargaming Simulation Developer to join the MCWL team in Quantico, VA. The role focuses on building simulations of weapon systems, events, adversarial models, and wargaming tests using AFSIM and game engines, aligning studies with mission needs.

You will design, implement, and sustain simulation models, collaborate with engineers and SMEs, and ensure interoperability across NCIP platforms. On-site at Quantico with a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, game development, or a related technical field (required).
• Minimum 5+ years of development experience.
• Experience with modelling & simulations or wargaming scenario development (unit, mission, or campaign).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Python, or Java.
• Experience with simulation platforms or game engines such as AFSIM, NGTS, MACE, STORM, ITASE, Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena.
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain simulation models and environments using various languages, tools, and data sources.
• Integrate simulations into larger system architectures and support NCIP interoperability testing.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and SMEs to enhance model fidelity and accuracy.
• Implement new features, conduct model testing and validation, and troubleshoot issues across evolving simulation platforms.
• Lead and support planning, coordination, and documentation for simulation projects.
