Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AFSIM Scenario Developer to join our team in Quantico, VA, on-site. You will design, develop, and sustain simulation models of weapon systems, events, and adversarial scenarios to support wargaming studies for mission-critical needs.

Role requires 5+ years in simulation/game environments, and proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or Java, plus hands-on experience with AFSIM/NGTS, Unity, Unreal, Simio, or Arena.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of software development experience focused on simulation or game-based environments.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or Java.
• Experience with simulation platforms or gaming engines such as AFSIM, NGTS, Unity, Unreal Engine, Simio, or Arena.
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative software development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain simulation models and environments using a variety of programming languages, tools, and data sources.
• Integrate simulations into larger system architectures and support interoperability testing.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts to enhance model fidelity and accuracy.
• Implement new features, conduct model testing and validation, and troubleshoot issues across evolving simulation platforms.
• Lead and support planning, coordination, and documentation activities for simulation projects.
