Job summary

Cyberdata Technologies, Inc. seeks a Wargaming Analyst to support USTRANSCOM’s Strategic Plans, Policy, and Logistics Directorate. This role designs, plans, executes, and assesses wargames informing global mobility and logistics across DoD.

Work is on-site at Scott Air Force Base with limited telework based on mission requirements. Requires Top Secret clearance and substantial experience in joint doctrine, logistics, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with four years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree with six years of related experience; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or Service-level strategic planning activities.
  • Minimum three years of senior staff experience supporting Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, MAJCOM, Service Headquarters, or Defense Agencies.
  • Strong understanding of joint doctrine, operational planning, logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or strategy development.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • United States Citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and assess USTRANSCOM-led wargames supporting strategic planning and operational readiness.
  • Develop wargame objectives, scenarios, end states, and supporting documentation aligned with mission requirements.
  • Facilitate wargame design sessions with government stakeholders, military planners, and subject matter experts.
  • Prepare participants by providing briefings, scenario context, and operational guidance to ensure realistic and effective gameplay.
  • Produce after-action reports, findings, recommendations, and analytical products that support decision-making and future planning.
  • Ensure USTRANSCOM and Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise equities are represented during Joint, Combatant Command, Service, and DoD wargames.
  • Apply knowledge of joint doctrine, campaign planning, strategy development, logistics, and operational concepts throughout the wargaming lifecycle.
  • Support senior leadership by providing analysis, briefings, and recommendations related to wargame outcomes and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with government organizations and external partners to integrate transportation, logistics, and global mobility considerations into wargame activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of wargaming methodologies, planning processes, and operational best practices.

The Opportunity This role works directly with Department of Defense stakeholders, combatant command planners, joint staff representatives, military leadership, and interagency partners supporting mission‑critical strategic planning and operational readiness. It is an opportunity to shape Joint Force decision‑making by designing, planning, executing, and assessing wargames that inform transportation, logistics, and global force projection across the Department of Defense. Work is primarily performed on‑site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, supporting government and contractor teams in mission‑focused environments.

Position Summary We are seeking a Wargaming Analyst to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Strategic Plans, Policy, and Logistics Directorate (TCJ5/J4). This position serves as a subject matter expert responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and assessing wargames that support strategic planning, operational analysis, and capability development across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE). The successful candidate will collaborate with senior military leaders, combatant commands, Joint Staff organizations, and interagency stakeholders to ensure USTRANSCOM priorities are effectively represented in Department of Defense and Joint Force wargaming activities.

Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Work will primarily take place in government workspaces with limited telework based on mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities
