Job summary

C5T Corporation is seeking a Wargaming Analyst to support USTRANSCOM’s strategic plans and JDDE operations. This on-site role at Scott Air Force Base involves designing, coordinating, executing, and assessing wargames that inform logistics and global mobility decisions.

The candidate collaborates with senior military leaders and interagency partners to ensure wargaming outcomes align with DoD priorities, doctrine, and operational concepts. U.S. government clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with four years of related experience or Bachelor's with six years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or Service-level strategic planning.
  • Minimum three years of senior staff experience supporting Joint Staff/CCMD/MAJCOM/Service HQ/Defense Agencies.
  • Strong understanding of joint doctrine, operational planning, logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or strategy development.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and assess USTRANSCOM-led wargames supporting strategic planning and operational readiness.
  • Develop wargame objectives, scenarios, end states, and documentation aligned with mission requirements.
  • Facilitate wargame design sessions with government stakeholders, military planners, and SMEs.
  • Prepare participants with briefings, scenario context, and operational guidance for realistic gameplay.
  • Produce after-action reports, findings, recommendations, and analytical products for decision-making.
  • Ensure JDDE equities are represented during Joint, Combatant Command, Service, and DoD wargames.
  • Apply joint doctrine, campaign planning, strategy development, logistics, and operational concepts throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support leadership with analysis, briefings, and recommendations on wargame outcomes.
  • Coordinate with government and external partners to integrate transportation and global mobility considerations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of wargaming methodologies and planning processes.

Position Summary

C5T is seeking a Wargaming Analyst to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Strategic Plans, Policy, and Logistics Directorate (TCJ5/J4). This position serves as a subject matter expert responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and assessing wargames that support strategic planning, operational analysis, and capability development across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).

The successful candidate will collaborate with senior military leaders, combatant commands, Joint Staff organizations, and interagency stakeholders to ensure USTRANSCOM priorities are effectively represented in Department of Defense and Joint Force wargaming activities.

Location: Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Work will primarily take place in government workspaces with limited telework based on mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, execute, and assess USTRANSCOM-led wargames supporting strategic planning and operational readiness.

Develop wargame objectives, scenarios, end states, and supporting documentation aligned with mission requirements.

Facilitate wargame design sessions with government stakeholders, military planners, and subject matter experts.

Prepare participants by providing briefings, scenario context, and operational guidance to ensure realistic and effective gameplay.

Produce after-action reports, findings, recommendations, and analytical products that support decision-making and future planning.

Ensure USTRANSCOM and Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) equities are represented during Joint, Combatant Command, Service, and Department of Defense wargames.

Apply knowledge of joint doctrine, campaign planning, strategy development, logistics, and operational concepts throughout the wargaming lifecycle.

Support senior leadership by providing analysis, briefings, and recommendations related to wargame outcomes and strategic initiatives.

Coordinate with government organizations and external partners to integrate transportation, logistics, and global mobility considerations into wargame activities.

Contribute to continuous improvement of wargaming methodologies, planning processes, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree with four years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree with six years of related experience. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.

Experience supporting Department of Defense, Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or Service-level strategic planning activities.

Minimum three years of senior staff experience supporting Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (CCMD), Major Commands (MAJCOM), Service Headquarters, or Defense Agencies.

Strong understanding of joint doctrine, operational planning, logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or strategy development.

Excellent analytical, written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Desired Qualifications

Experience designing, planning, or executing military wargames.

Experience supporting major military exercises or operational planning events.

Knowledge of Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) operations.

Experience supporting USTRANSCOM or other Combatant Command organizations.

Familiarity with Joint Capability Development, concept development, governance, and force planning processes.
