Job summary

C5T Corporation, based at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, is seeking a Wargaming Analyst to support USTRANSCOM’s TCJ5/J4. You will design, plan, execute, and assess wargames that inform transportation, logistics, and global force projection across the DoD, collaborating with government stakeholders and contractor teams.

The role requires deep knowledge of joint doctrine, campaign planning, and operational concepts, with a TS clearance or eligibility, and strong analytical and briefing skills.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with four years of related experience or Bachelor's with six years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
  • Experience supporting DoD, Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or Service‑level strategic planning activities.
  • Minimum three years of senior staff experience supporting Joint Staff, CCMDs, MAJCOMs, Service Headquarters, or Defense Agencies.
  • Strong understanding of joint doctrine, operational planning, logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or strategy development.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • United States Citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and assess USTRANSCOM‑led wargames supporting strategic planning and operational readiness.
  • Develop wargame objectives, scenarios, end states, and supporting documentation aligned with mission requirements.
  • Facilitate wargame design sessions with government stakeholders, military planners, and subject matter experts.
  • Prepare participants with briefings, scenario context, and operational guidance for realistic gameplay.
  • Produce after‑action reports, findings, and recommendations to support decision‑making.
  • Ensure equities of USTRANSCOM and JDDE are represented during wargames across services and DoD.
  • Apply knowledge of joint doctrine, campaign planning, logistics, and operational concepts throughout the lifecycle.
  • Support senior leadership with analysis, briefings, and recommendations on wargame outcomes.
  • Coordinate with government organizations and external partners to integrate transportation, logistics, and global mobility considerations into wargame activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of wargaming methodologies and planning processes.

This role works directly with Department of Defense stakeholders, combatant command planners, joint staff representatives, military leadership, and interagency partners supporting mission‑critical strategic planning and operational readiness. Position Summary

C5T is seeking a Wargaming Analyst to support the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Strategic Plans, Policy, and Logistics Directorate (TCJ5/J4). This position serves as a subject matter expert responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and assessing wargames that support strategic planning, operational analysis, and capability development across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).

Location

Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. Work will primarily take place in government workspaces with limited telework based on mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, execute, and assess USTRANSCOM‑led wargames supporting strategic planning and operational readiness.
  • Develop wargame objectives, scenarios, end states, and supporting documentation aligned with mission requirements.
  • Facilitate wargame design sessions with government stakeholders, military planners, and subject matter experts.
  • Prepare participants by providing briefings, scenario context, and operational guidance to ensure realistic and effective gameplay.
  • Produce after‑action reports, findings, recommendations, and analytical products that support decision‑making and future planning.
  • Ensure USTRANSCOM and Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) equities are represented during Joint, Combatant Command, Service, and Department of Defense wargames.
  • Apply knowledge of joint doctrine, campaign planning, strategy development, logistics, and operational concepts throughout the wargaming lifecycle.
  • Support senior leadership by providing analysis, briefings, and recommendations related to wargame outcomes and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with government organizations and external partners to integrate transportation, logistics, and global mobility considerations into wargame activities.

  • Strong understanding of joint doctrine, operational planning, logistics, transportation, supply chain management, or strategy development.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
