Job summary

BD, a leader in medical technology, seeks a Warehouse Operator in Sumter, SC. You will support production by supplying materials, moving goods with pallet jacks and forklifts, and using SAP to requisition items. Maintain clean work areas and follow safety procedures.

Minimum 1 year warehouse experience and 1 year of standup forklift experience are required, with SAP literacy preferred. The role emphasizes accuracy, inventory controls, and safe handling of materials daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience required, 3-5 years preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of standup forklift experience required, 3-5 years preferred.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jack and scanners.
• Computer literacy and SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supply operators with necessary materials to maintain production as directed by Supervisor.
• Open cartons, crates and bags as necessary to make material readily available to operators. Break down empty containers and stack on pallet.
• Remove empty containers to recycling area. Empty trash into outside trash container. Maintain cleanliness of workarea.
• Operate hand truck or forklift as required to provide materials to production area. Use handtruck to move materials within the production area.
• Requisition materials from warehouse/label room through the use of SAP.
• Check all materials from warehouse to accurate item, count and condition prior to acceptance. Store incoming materials as soon as possible after receiving.
• Perform label control making sure accurate lot numbers, quantities and labels are used.
• Transport finished goods to assigned areas.
• Observe all safety standards, environmental procedures and QSR’s.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as required by the Supervisor/Lead.
