Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company. We are hiring for a warehouse associate in Sumter, SC to support production by supplying materials, handling cartons, and operating a forklift. You will verify items in SAP, label products, and ensure safe, clean work areas in compliance with QSRs.

The role requires standup forklift experience and 1+ year in a warehouse; 3-5 years preferred. High school diploma or GED is required, with computer literacy and SAP experience valued.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of standup forklift experience required; 3-5 years preferred.
  • Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and barcode scanners.
  • Computer literacy and SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supply operators with necessary materials to production as directed by Supervisor.
  • Open cartons, crates and bags to make materials available to operators.
  • Break down empty containers and stack on pallet; maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Operate hand truck or forklift to provide materials to production area.
  • Requisition materials from warehouse using SAP.
  • Verify incoming materials against orders and store promptly.
  • Perform label control ensuring correct lot numbers and quantities.
  • Transport finished goods to designated areas.
  • Follow safety, environmental procedures and QSRs.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Supply operators with necessary materials to maintain production as directed by Supervisor.
  • Open cartons, crates and bags as necessary to make material readily available to operators. Break down empty containers and stack on pallet.
  • Remove empty containers to recycling area. Empty trash into outside trash container. Maintain cleanliness of work area.
  • Operate hand truck or forklift as required to provide materials to production area. Use hand truck to move materials within the production area.
  • Requisition materials from warehouse/label room through the use of SAP.
  • Check all materials from warehouse to accurate item, count and condition prior to acceptance. Store incoming materials as soon as possible after receiving them.
  • Perform label control making sure accurate lot numbers, quantities and labels are used.
  • Transport finished goods to assigned areas.
  • Observe all safety standards, environmental procedures and QSR’s.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as required by the Supervisor/Lead.
Minimum Requirement:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience required, 3-5 years preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of standup forklift experience required, 3-5 years preferred
  • Experience operating Material Handling equipment such as pallet jack, handheld devices, order guns/scanners, etc.
  • Computer Literacy and SAP experience preferred
