Job summary

BD is seeking a manufacturing associate in Sumter, SC to support casepack operations, inspect and label pallets, and maintain accurate lot history in our quality-driven environment.

You will perform QC checks, document results, and collaborate with upstream teams to address issues, while following safety systems and environmental procedures.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately.
• Capability to multitask in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Casepack: program electronic scale to establish accurate weigh count per Casepack.
• Inspect, close, label, and assign Casepack to the proper pallet.
• Maintain accurate lot history and quality assurance documentation.
• Perform and document all required Quality Control checks.
• Follow safety, environmental, and Quality System requirements (QSR).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Casepack: Program electronic scale to establish accurate weigh count per Casepack (according to stopper size).
• Inspect, close, label, and assign Casepack to the proper pallet.
• Maintain accurate lot history and quality assurance documentation.
• Maintains accurate production and lot history documentation through computer-based systems.
• Maintains a neat and orderly production environment.
• Continually monitors in-process quality, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.
• Perform and document all required Quality Control checks.
• Generates hold tickets as needed.
• Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR).
• Perform rework as required.
• Communicate with upstream manufacturing and technical associates to address and prevent quality issues.
• Die Trim: Load molded stopper pads onto Die Trim cavity belt.
• Trim stoppers and remove full totes.
• Maintain standard production, quality and waste.

Required Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent experience
• Must be proficient with simple math.
• Ability to Multi-task

Preferred Requirements

• 6-12 months of manufacturing experience
• Must have the dexterity to use a hammer and dinker (hole punch)
• Must have the ability to use scissors
• Must be forklift qualifiable (electric pallet jack only)
• Computer Literacy
