Job summary

BD, a leading global medical technology company, is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Sandy, UT. You will receive, store, move and ship materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and smooth warehouse operations. Use SAP and Datalan to document transactions and support Kanban-driven replenishment.

This 12-hour rotating night shift (6PM–6AM) operates on a 14-day cycle, with 7 days scheduled over two weeks. BD emphasizes on-site collaboration and a strong safety culture in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

  • Verify quantity, part numbers, and lot numbers against packing slips.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Perform warehouse cycle counts and replenish stock using Kanban.
  • Package outbound shipments and document transactions in SAP and Datalan.
  • Support teammates during absences and maintain FIFO rotation.

  • Operate material handling equipment and ensure safe, efficient movements.
  • Perform cycle counts and replenishment tasks as needed.
  • Prepare outbound shipments with correct packing, labels and documentation.
  • Document all transactions in inventory systems (SAP, Datalan) and third-party software.

Job Description

Responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations. This role uses inventory management systems and material handling equipment to ensure timely replenishment, accurate transactions, and efficient flow of materials throughout the facility.



Essential Functions/Responsibilities


  • Accurately receive raw materials or finished goods product, using computer software systems. Retrieve packing slip or product transfer record from incoming materials. Verify quantity, part number, P.O. number and vendor lot number against packing slip or product transfer record. Verify freight BOL and note any damages or shortages.

  • Accurately perform responsibilities for team members in times of absence or vacation.

  • Operate all material handling equipment such as propane and electric forklifts, stretch wrappers, electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks.

  • Accurately perform warehouse cycle counts, process returned raw material, preform replenishment functions

  • Prepare substitute packing slips if necessary.

  • Accurately perform build function for materials received using Datalan system and Kanban cards.

  • Moves stock and rotates materials according to FIFO for incoming and outgoing material.

  • Arrange material in the warehouse as per KanBan bin requirements. Replenishes departments using Scanners and KanBan system.

  • Prepare outbound shipments, verify quantities, lot numbers and part numbers to be shipped, document on load sheet, prepare pallets with slip-sheets, stretch wrap and load, calculating correct cube and weights.

  • Properly package outbound packages for shipment to prevent damage and loss.

  • Accurately perform shipment and reciept transactions in inventory management systems.(SAP, Datalan) and 3rd party software (FedEx, UPS, Etc)

  • Responsible for ensuring shift goals are met (5S, Returns, Kanban cards scanned and sorted).



Shift

12 hour rotating night shift (6PM-6AM). Scheduled to work 7-days in a 14-day period (2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2off, 3 on, 2 off - every other weekend is scheduled off)



Minimum Requirement


  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience not required
