Job summary

TK Elevator seeks a Warehouse Worker II for its Olive Branch, MS facility. The role covers receiving, picking, packing, and shipping in a manual area, with emphasis on accuracy and routine use of barcodes and RF scanners to manage inventory.

The candidate should have forklift/reach truck experience and solid computer skills. The position requires 2+ years in a warehouse setting, knowledge of inventory control, and the ability to work well in a team while upholding safety standards and quality

Responsibilities

• Proficiently pick, pack, ship, and receive materials using barcodes and RF scanners.
• Assemble kits for stocking and ensure accurate labeling/scanning.
• Process customer returns for restocking and manage LTL shipments.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work areas and promote 6S practices.
• Safely load/unload trucks and operate PPE and dock equipment.

Come be a part of TK Elevator's partially automatic material handling environment warehouse for Spare Parts. The Warehouse Worker II will be responsible for the workflows in the manual areas of receiving, picking, and packing/shipping. This position requires order picker, and reach truck skills as well as basic computer skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUCTIONS:

• Proficient worker with the ability to train others and resolve daily production issues.
• Possesses standard inventory knowledge (i.e., special packaging requirements, part storage criteria, recognizing duplicate products, and product identification)
• Accurately picks, packs, ships, and receives materials utilizing barcodes and RF scanner technology; all driven by software and computerized systems.
• Assembles kits for stocking purposes as required; this again requires barcoding and scanning with an attention to detail to avoid errors
• Processes customer returns for restocking
• Banding and shrink-wrapping material is required for the storage and shipment process.
• In the picking process individual labelling and scanning are required to disburse inventory correctly.
• Safely loading and unloading trucks for delivery and pick up using all PPE and dock safety equipment.
• Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion and promotes 6S activities; good housekeeping is paramount
• Promote a safety-conscious work environment as we work towards zero safety incidents
• Ability to work together with all staff as a team.
• Assist in cycle counting inventory.
• Process, schedule, and communicate LTL shipments and documentation to multiple carriers
• Performs other job duties as may be assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum: High School Diploma; Technical degree preferred
• Forklift, reach truck experience preferred
• 2+ years warehouse experience
• Knowledge of elevator and escalator systems or work in a parts warehouse
• Working knowledge of a computerized system or computer skills is required
• Knowledge in Warehouse Management System
• Software experience in Oracle
• Prior Warehousing experience using RF scanners
• Requires excellent dependability and the ability to multitask and must work effectively without close supervision
• Demonstrated experience of working in a fast-paced and team-based environment
• Requires lifting parts weighing up to 50 pounds
• Self-motivation is a sought-after trait
• A proven record of consistent and fair enforcement of facility rules, policies, regulations
