Overview

This position is a 1st shift role but could also involve 2nd or 3rd shifts on an as-needed basis.

This role requires a self-starter who can work in various warehouses to receive, locate, and issue materials, supporting the material kitting process to meet ship schedules. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor warehouses, requiring lifting and handling of various weights for receiving and issuing materials.

Responsibilities:

1. Have a basic understanding of computer and device usage (handheld devices, tablets) to support warehouse material systems, including electronic receipts, material picks, tracking, and issuance.
2. Familiarity with receiving and issuing hazardous materials and MSDS requirements is a plus.
3. Access and update systems such as EB's ITS, MRP II, Electronic Work Package (EWP), Pitch Catch, ROMIS, and others to follow company and warehouse procedures.
4. Drive a forklift and potentially work at heights up to 40 feet using a forklift.
5. Obtain a forklift license within Electric Boat within the first month.
6. Possess basic math skills to support receipt and issuance of linear measure materials and potentially cut materials to specified dimensions.
7. Potentially go on board a submarine for loading On-Board Repair Parts (OBRP).

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of warehousing or similar experience involving receipt, location, segregation, and issuance of materials.
• Good computer/tablet skills.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
• Strong math skills, including unit conversions (e.g., square foot to square inch).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense.
• Availability to work all shifts (this role is primarily 1st shift).

Preferred:

• Experience with inventory applications on computers or tablets.
• Previous forklift operation experience.
