This is a 1st shift role but could be 2nd shift, with the flexibility to work 3rd on an as-needed basis.

This role requires a self-starter working in various warehouses to receive, locate, and issue material, supporting the material kitting process in support of ship's schedules. The work may be in indoor or outdoor warehouses, requiring lifting and handling of various weights.

Responsibilities

• Basic understanding of computer use and tools such as hand-held devices and tablets to support warehouse systems for electronic receipts, material tracking, and issuance.
• Knowledge of receiving and issuing hazardous materials and MSDS requirements is a plus.
• Ability to access and update systems like EB's ITS, MRP II, EWP, Pitch Catch, ROMIS, among others.
• Driving a forklift and working at heights up to 40 feet using a forklift; candidate must obtain a forklift license within the first month.
• Basic math skills for supporting receipt and issuance of linear measure materials and cutting materials to specified dimensions.
• Potential requirement to go onboard a submarine for loading On-Board Repair Parts (OBRP).

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of warehousing experience or similar, with skills in receiving, locating, segregating, and issuing materials.
• Proficiency with computers/tablets.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
• Good math skills, including unit conversions.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense.
• Availability to work all shifts (this is a 1st shift role).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inventory applications on computers or tablets.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to follow procedures, recognize warning labels, and perform basic calculations.
• Good computer skills and ability to multitask.

Physical requirements include climbing, crawling, heavy and light lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, stooping, and twisting. Work environment may involve acids, alkalis, cold, dry, dusty, fumes, hot, noisy, oily, outside, and wet conditions.
