Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate for our Texas distribution center. The role offers a flexible schedule (up to 29 hours/week) with a required Sunday shift 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM. You will pick, pack and ship orders, and may cross-train in multiple warehouse areas to support daily operations.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and stand for shifts; training for forklift, cherry picker, and pallet jack is provided. PTO benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfort working at heights 20-30 ft regularly
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with computers or POS systems is a plus
• Basic proficiency in English read/write to process documents

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders, including picking, packing and preparing for shipment

• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment

Schedule Details:

• This roleoperateson a flexible schedule based on business volume.Flex workers aremainly usedto support high-volume days, planned PTOcoverageand high call-off periods.Available shifts may vary by location and week.
• Candidate will be required to work one mandatory shift per week on Sunday from 8:00 PM - 4:30 AM or until finish. Any additional shifts may be selected by the candidate.
• Create a schedule that works for you by selecting available shifts throughout the week
• Days and hours per week are flexible based on your availability and business needs but will not exceed 29 hours per average on an ongoing basis.
• Once a shift is accepted, candidates are expected to work the full scheduled shift and adhere to standard attendance expectations.
• Receive shift opportunities, work updates, and important announcements directly to your mobile device
• Enjoy the flexibility to manage your schedule without traditional time-off requests
• Accepted shifts are worked until operational work is complete and may extend beyond the estimated end time.
• New hiresmay requirecompletionofa 1–3 dayonboardingrampduring the first week or first pay period. Theonboarding schedulewillbe agreed during thejob offer process based on site needs and new-hire availability.

Pay rate:$20.60 per hour (includes shift differential)

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and participating in projects as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider
